I've studied with masters of wedding photography and developed my own style. The result is vivid documentary, with fun posing, creative use of light and composition, and timeless imagery.
Wedding photography can be so much more. I capture the love, raw emotions, tender moments, and whooping and hollering fun of the day!
I am located in Sturgeon Bay. I travel without charge to Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee. Other locations in Wisconsin, as well. Nominal travel charges to other locations.
I have been in the wedding photography business since 2001. Prior to that, I worked in photojournalism from 1987 until 2001. I continue with journalism freelance, and I'm editor and chief photographer for Door County Magazine.
Vivid documentary
I offer "full day" packages during prime wedding season that include 8-10 hours of wedding day photography, and full access to all edited, high res jpeg images. Packages include a lighting assistant, and a complimentary engagement sitting. In 2016, packages started at $2450. Other options include a second shooter, rehearsal dinner coverage, day-after portrait session and "trash the dress" sessions.
I am happy to meet at a local coffee shop or the client's home. To keep costs as low as possible, I work from a home studio/office.
I have a BA in Photography, and have been an award-winning member of the Wisconsin Press Photographers' Association. I've won several awards, including several first-places, from Wisconsin Newspaper Association and National Newspaper Association. I'm a past member of the Wisconsin Press Women and the National Federation of Press Women, and was the "Sweepstakes Award Winner" in 1992--for having won the most amount of awards in all categories of journalism--including photography--that year. I've studied with several masters of Wedding photography, including workshops by Doug Gordon in New York and second shooting with Michael Segal of LA.
