It may sound obvious but this simple philosophy guides my whole approach. I try to capture the full story of your day so that in twenty years when you look at your wedding pictures you can remember what happened on the day when "happily ever after" started.
A wedding is not a fashion shoot, and couples are not models who are there to perform for the photographer's whims. Your wedding should be fun, romantic and memorable for the right reasons. I pack light and move quickly and work to make the formal photo session a fun and romantic experience that adds to your wedding. Outside of the formal photo session I stay out of the way as much as possible and shoot more candid images to let your day unfold as you intended it.
I will work with your team of wedding professionals so that you have the best day ever!
I am located in sunny Barbados.
There are travel fees charged for locations outside of Barbados
I've been into photography since I was a teenager (a very long time ago) but I've been doing this professionally full time for over 7 years now.
I've been the main photographer on over 100 weddings.
My style is mostly photojournalistic. My plan is to document the wedding day as it happens. But I do some informal posing during the couple's shoot.
My goal is to have the client be able to look through their photos 20 years later and relive the day.
My packages go from a simple elopement wedding at with 90 minutes of coverage for USD400.00 all the way up to my Black Package which offers two photographers coverage of 3 events (rehearsal dinner, wedding, trash the dress) for USD6000.00.
Typically clients opt for packages in the 4 to 8 hour duration which range from USD1000.00 to USD2250.00
I don't have a studio as most of my clients are from outside of my geographical area. Meetings on island I will go to the client or I will use Skype or plain old telephone for clients who are outside of Barbados.
Well I do have a MBA from a previous life.... but I am self taught in Photography. I'm an invited member of the Best Of Wedding Photography group and I frequently pursue online training as being in Barbados makes attending workshops somewhat expensive.
After years of dreaming about doing photography, the best thing that ever happened to me is when I got laid off from my "real job" and took up photography. That was 7 years ago and I haven't looked back since.
I've been married for 19 years and have a very understanding wife. I'm a dad to two amazing boys who keep me on my toes. I'd love to work with you on your wedding day.
