It is not a single beautiful image that should stay with you forever but the whole story of that day. I would love to tell YOUR story.
I am situated close to those beautiful Rhine cities, Cologne and Dusseldorf, but traveling further is no problem.
My style is very documentary. I try to capture so many moments the couple does not see - and their reaction when seeing their slideshow is usually surprise, smiles and utter delight. I love street photography and incorporate some of it while shooting a wedding but I also want to create something very beautiful and different out of the ordinary.
It is always important to develop a bond between the couple and me. Therefore I think it is great to meet in advance, either for real at my place or via Skype. This way we can get to know each other, share ideas and chat about your plans for the wedding.
As a photographer I try to improve my way of working every day. I try to take a workshop every year with a photographer who is teaching special skills or whose approach I like. Attending workshops does not mean trying to copy someone but finding your own voice in photography and applying those new skills to your own work process.
I just love what I am doing! For me a wedding day means so much positive energy: happy people, new beginnings. I am also a family photographer (as a mother of four i am pretty well prepared for it...) and my eye is always searching for the immediate, unplanned, crazy moment - kids at weddings are huge fun!
