Fuelled by creativity, with an extensive music and video background, Chris takes an artistic photojournalism approach to documenting every big day. With his head on a swivel, he's got a knack for noticing special moments big and small that add to the powerful story of each couple. He's also not afraid to step in when the opportunity arises with a little nudge to help inspire a few tears or belly laughs. How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?
Since 2012. Over 120 weddings photographed.
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
Artistic Photojournalism! For 90% of the day we are documenting the powerful moments that organically unfold between the bride and groom and their loved ones. The other 10% is devoted to formal portraits with the bride and groom, wedding party, and family. Our clients love our hybrid approach and experience in both styles of photography.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
Full day, dynamic wedding photography. Digital images supplied via online gallery. We are proud to now be including albums in our packages.
Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?
In 2021 we built out a beautiful studio in downtown Saskatoon. We have 1600 sq ft to ourselves which includes a cyclorama, a lounge, boardroom, kitchen, etc.
What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?
2 year broadcasting diploma in radio and television. I then worked in television news broadcasting as a videographer for 5 years. Priceless experience and lessons were learned in this time that I wouldn't change for the world. I have completed many workshops but a turning point for me was the Two Mann workshop as well as attending WPPI and hearing from some of the top photographers around the world.
