To me photographing a wedding is about capturing spontaneous and true moments shared between you, your family and friends. Every selected picture contributes to telling your unique story; from the anticipation whilst you are getting ready, tears at the ceremony, your guests connecting, the atmosphere, to the wildest moves on the dance floor and all the detail in between! I very much blend into your day and will capture these moments in an unobtrusive and sensitive way.
My journey with photography began in 2004 whilst studying for a BA in photography in the Netherlands. It has been my companion ever since. Over the years, I have worked as both a wedding photographer as well as a Lifestyle and Portrait photographer, whilst living and working in Holland, UK and South Africa.
The experience of living and working in different cultures has shaped me as a person and has pushed me to develop my creative journey. I love meeting people from all walks of life and I am always looking for new experiences, it drives me!
I am based in Totnes, Devon and I happily travel to other parts in the UK and beyond. Are you getting married outside of Devon? Please drop me a line, so I can give you an idea of the additional travel fee. I have photographed weddings in South Africa, The Netherlands, Indonesia and the USA, and love meeting people from all walks of life and different cultures.
I have had the honour of documenting around 60 weddings over the 6 years I have worked as a Wedding photographer. I only take on around 10 weddings a year, as I also work as a commercial lifestyle portrait photographer for magazines, small business and other creatives. I really enjoy the variety of work as it keeps me on my toes creatively!
I am a documentary style wedding photographer who captures the spontaneous, authentic moments that happen throughout the day. I capture the soulful, colourful, joyful and emotional profound moments that happen throughout the day as these are the images that tell a unique story of your wedding. I very much blend in, and capture these with a trained eye in an unobtrusive, sensitive manner.
There are a few moments where I offer some direction, for example when taking group portraits and but these moments are kept to a minimum.
My typical wedding package is a full day coverage of £1500, which includes
• Two meetings beforehand over a cuppa or Zoom (if more suitable), to meet and discuss your plans
• 8 hours of photography
• 375+ professionally edited images provided to you in both high res and web format through a downloadable personal online gallery
• License to print, share, and copy the images
You can add an album, a second photographer, or prints to this as you wish.
I don t work out of a studio as I work mainly on location. I love meeting my clients in person as it is the best way to connect for me, but I am equally happy to meet over zoom/skype if that is easier.
I studied editorial photography at the University of Brighton and have a BA in photography.
I feel it is an absolute honour to capture connection, love and to be part of such a memorable occasion, and feel very lucky to do this as a profession!
