My goal is to tell the story of your day, from the morning preparations through the dance party. That means I'll have my eyes open for your details, because they're an important part of the story. And we'll get all the "formal groups," because I think everyone should have timeless family portraits. But as a photojournalist, my real passion is for moments. I love documenting all the emotions of the day - the joy, the laughter and even the tears.
Regardless of what kind of celebration you're planning, I love working with couples that trust me and my approach. The most successful weddings I've photographed are memorable, not because of the venue or the details, but because I connected with my clients, and they trusted my vision.
I'm located in Chicago, but about half of my weddings each year are destinations outside of the city. I regularly travel throughout the midwest and occasionally farther. I don't charge a travel fee except for my actual cost (flight, lodging, car).
I've photographed almost 200 weddings over the past 10 years.
Photojournalism is more than the latest trend in wedding photography. I spent the first five years of my career as a photographer at a daily newspaper, so I’m trained to anticipate and capture events as they unfold.

I meet clients at my home/office in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood. If you're not local we can use FaceTime or Skype.
