Since 1999, I have been a professional photographer serving in Minneapolis, MN, Seattle, WA and international destinations. Every wedding is unique and while I never know exactly what to expect my goal is the same: to push myself to see the world in new ways and to create timeless images that both me and my clients will love, now and decades in the future. I am just as excited to see the final images as you are!

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

Minneapolis, MN. Travel fees negotiable per situation, usually airfare and 2 nights lodging.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I've been shooting for 24 years (since 1999). I have personally photographed over 600 weddings.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My approach to wedding photography is a natural, fly-on-the-wall style in order to create beautiful images as they unfold rather than directing the action. I've found these real moments to be much more valuable to my clients than the staged shoots that some photographers favor. Since being camera shy is so common, it also works well for clients who don't like to be photographed.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

I start at 6 hours of coverage for $5000.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I had a studio for years in Seattle, but don't see a need for one in Minneapolis as my work is all on location. I often "meet" my clients via FaceTime, Skype, or the phone as they may live in other states or other countries. I try to answer as many questions as possible pre-emptively on my website FAQ section.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I attended the Minneapolis College Of Art And Design and Member of the invite-only World’s Best Wedding Photos, Grace Ormonde Platinum List, I've had 4 winning images in PDN's Top Knots wedding photography contest (2004, 2005 and 2016). The Knot's 2007 and 2008 Best Of Weddings winner, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 Wedding Wire Couple's Choice winner, quoted in Martha Stewart Weddings in 2010, member of Junebug Weddings, member of The Grey Collective, member of Fearless Photographers. member of X100c Collective. member of This Is Reportage, member of Best Of Wedding Photography, member of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association), member of Wedding Chicks, featured on Zola

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I think education about photography is important, and I have been doing a photography podcast with Ian Weldon, an English photographer. We speak with current photographers from various fields about a photographer in history. The conversation is often funny and philosophical, and it's been great to brush up on my photographic history. It's important to know your craft and to understand photo history and art history to be the best photographer you can be.
