During the younger (more formidable) part of my years, I studied the art of Science. For over 15 years my life was filled with syringes, medications and IV calculations and after painstakingly acquiring a degree in Pharmacy, I decided to chase this crazy dream of becoming a photographer! It was one of the easiest/most difficult decisions I ever made but felt great to finally toss that white lab coat and pill-counter aside and with the help and unconditional support of those nearest, I did what just felt right!
Like everyone else, I love the pretty things: the jeweled bride, the flowered mandap, the 20 pound wedding gown and all that accompanies it. More importantly, I also love tear-ruined makeup, the bride who isn't fazed by her unkempt hair and the 8 year old sister who is anointed maid-of-honor! I look for the unseen emotions that generally go unnoticed and I'm not afraid to jump in the middle of a packed dance floor just for one shot. I'm also not afraid to climb trees, sit in streams and stand in winter-cold water fountains and I've got the resulting images to prove it!
I believe beautiful images can be captured anywhere and I also believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be able to look back with joy, the days when wrinkles were sparingly, bones weren't as fragile and the sanctity of marriage was yet to be discovered.
