Hey, I'm Sara. [Visual] Storytelling is my thing. I have 20+ years of professional experience as a photographer, a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, and I've lived and breathed Photography since childhood. My style is a mix of documentary and art. I love shooting weddings because it is a window into someone else's world and stories instinctively unfold. Emotions are earnest and extreme because people are together who aren't usually together at the same time. I feel blessed to be able to do this.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I am located in Kanata. I don't charge an additional travel fee for locations within the Ottawa and Gatineau area. For a full-day wedding, I'll usually only charge for travel if I am required to stay overnight somewhere.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I was an assistant to a couple of wedding photographers in Australia starting in 1998, then started photographing weddings solo in 2010 while living in the UK. I took a break from 2018 to 2023 after moving to Canada from the UK and restarted my business.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My style is a mix of documentary and art. When the opportunity arises, I love to capture cinematic style images as well.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

I currently charge $395 per hour plus tax. What is included? All high-resolution images will be expertly processed by me and presented in a beautiful online gallery to download and share with friends and family. I offer archival quality albums starting at $550.

If you need me for 8 hours or more, you’ll get a second photographer for the entire day and a complimentary engagement session.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I have an office area in our house where I meet clients in person.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

I have a Bachelor's degree in visual arts majoring in Photography from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. I graduated in 2000.
