That was before I understood that it's all about the people.
When I wake up in the morning of your wedding day, I don't want to be anywhere but at your wedding. To find and capture your family dynamic and really understand who the important people in your life are so I can photograph them is such a fulfilling feeling.
Your wedding is just a package. The thing that makes your wedding unique are all the people you invited. They are gathered at the same place at the same time, and will most likely never be gathered at the same place and time ever again.
That to me is a unique chance to document the people that mean the most to you in your life.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?
I live in the south of Norway but photograph all over. Travel fees change depending on where in the world your wedding will be.
How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?
Since 2009. Went full force on wedding photography in 2014 and have shot 100+ wedding as the main photographer.
Describe your "style" of wedding photography.
Creative, colorful, playful, feelings and connection.
What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?
My full day coverage starts at $4000 including album.
Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?
I do meetings on Zoom or Skype.
What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?
I am self taught, have been photographing for 15 years and I am always seeking to learn and gain more experience. I have attended numerous classes and workshops. I have a rule that I have to attend at least two workshops or conferences every year.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?
I am a coffee geek and I always travel with a hand grinder and pocket scale, I have been a musician my entire life and I am probably the biggest fan of my own jokes.

What is written here will never even come close to fully articulating this experience because words simply cannot describe it, but I will do my best to try.
My partner Dave and I love to see the world together. When we booked an upcoming trip to Norway, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get some professional photos of us in the beautiful scenery. We looked around online, found Eirik’s work, which simply just speaks for itself, and I asked Dave to set it up.
When we got to Norway and set off on our adventure together with Eirik and his wife, Jessica*, I didn’t think twice Read More about what was even going on (remember- this was my idea ). Little did I know that Dave and Eirik had been scheming the most epic surprise for months.
To make a long story short; We had THE BEST DAY EVER. Eirik brought us to the most gorgeous places, the weather was just incredible, and we were having an absolute blast together. Even though we had met him for the first time just hours before, it felt like we had known him forever. He is so easy to be around and makes you feel so comfortable behind the camera. After thinking that there was no way this day could possibly get any better, Eirik brought us to this magical fjord to take some more photos. As he was shooting, Eirik yelled “Dave- go for it!”. I leaned in for what (I thought) was a kiss for the camera, but instead Dave dropped to his knee, pulled out a ring and asked me to spend forever with him. WHAT?!
Don’t get me wrong; I’m very lucky. Dave is a romantic and he does not do things with mediocrity, so I always knew that this day was going to be special. But having Eirik there to take us on this adventure, share these omoments with us in the most beautiful locations you could ever imagine, and capture it all on camera was beyond my wildest dreams. Not only did we get the most gorgeous photos to help us remember life’s most precious moments, but it also gave us a friendship that we will truly cherish forever.
I promise you, whatever special time in your life you’re celebrating, you absolutely must see it through Eirik’s lens. He is a true artist with an out of the box perspective and his creativity creates magic. It will hands down be the best day of your life.

There are no words to describe how absolutely phenomenal Eirik Halvorsen is, but I will do my best to try.
My husband and I decided we wanted to secretly elope in Norway, but knew absolutely nothing about Norway, smart idea I know. I found Eirik's website listing him as one of the best wedding photographers in Norway and knew we needed to book him.
I figured that booking this highly rated photographer would cost me an arm and a leg, and that we would just be a couple lost in the sea of couples he has worked with but I was so wrong. Eirik responded within the same day and we set up a Read More skype interview so we could get to know him, and he us. We hit it off immediately! Not only did he walk us through his process, he helped us plan our elopement! He told us places we should research, sent us pictures and maps, he was incredible!
Shortly after booking Eirik, he happened to be in Los Angeles (where we live) and gifted us with an absolutely spectacular engagement shoot. Little did I know, he and my husband had secretly planned to bring my ring to the shoot and capture our proposal as we had not had a formal proposal. Eirik from the absolute beginning went above and beyond expectation and truly had become our friend.
After our engagement shoot we felt so much more relaxed, I cannot recommend having an engagement shoot enough! We were ready for our trip, and so excited to spend more time with our new friend Eirik.
The trip was a complete blast. Eirik helped us every step of the way, beyond taking pictures he was helping us let loose and have a good time, even cooking us fresh caught fish for dinner one night! (And for me, the vegan, teaching me the ways of cinnamon, peanut butter, and banana toast) We drove around the island for hours, Eirik calling out shoot locations as we went along. His ability to find the most breathtaking photo opportunities, take stunning photos, direct a super camera shy couple, crack terrible jokes, and cook fish are mind boggling.
Eirik capped off the night with the most stunning photos of my husband and myself under the northern lights, as if we needed anything more than he had already provided for us. We had our entire album of edited photos before we even got back to the United States.
Without Eirik, we could have never dreamed of having the spectacularly gorgeous photos we have, or even more importantly, the memories and friendship we were able to make along the way.
