My journey into photography started back in high school when I took my first darkroom class. I was hooked. There is something so magically about seeing an image appear before your eyes. I couldn't get enough and went on to major in photography in college. I received my BFA in Photography in 2004 from TWU. I worked for several newspapers and magazines before starting K & S Photography.

I love documenting the memorable moments on your wedding day with a creative and unique vision. I go above the standard wedding photos to really capture the unique voice of your special day. Your wedding images will be full of life so the memory of how you felt will coming flooding back.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I do not charge a travel fee for anywhere in the DFW metroplex. If you are getting married outside of DFW, the travel fee depends on the distance traveled.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I have been in the business of photographing weddings since 2007 and have shot over 200 weddings. Before I began photographing happy people having fun at weddings,

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

My approach to photography is photojournalistic/documentary/candid – meaning I capture the special moments of your wedding day in an unobtrusive way. Whether it’s the flower girl stealing icing off the cake, a sweet exchange between the bride and her father, or the cheers that erupt as two grooms are pronounced husband and husband. These moments are priceless and what tells the story of the couple's wedding day. We believe all the stuff is pretty, but the emotions and memories that occur on a wedding day transcends all things trendy and the images will be timeless as moments never go out of style.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

My 1 photographer packages start at $2500 and 2 photographer packages start at $3200. They both include a flash drive with the high res images from your day, roughly 600-800 images.

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I have a wonderful office located in the Oak Lawn/Uptown area of Dallas.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

In 2004, I received my fine art degree in photography from TWU and graduated magna cum laude. I strive to constantly improve my work and go out on a weekly basis to practice. I also participate in online classes.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I married my high school sweetheart, and we have been married for almost 10 years and together for over 17 years. I can be a little dorky and I can trip over my own feet. Oh and of course, I love all things 80's!!
