CONTACTDear wedding couple, it is always important to me that we both are on a wavelength. Because outstanding photography always requires sympathy, trust, and good communication.
Since I started studying photojournalism natural moments and honest storytelling became the cornerstones of my work. My wedding photography is highly influenced by famous photojournalists like Jacob Aue Sobol, Anders Petersen, Darcy Padilla, Andrea Gjestvang, Sibylle Fendt, Stuart Franklin, Alec Soth, and Josef Koudelka which some of them had been my teachers.
I define myself as a candid wedding photographer with a documentary approach. If children are playing in the dirt, I photograph them just like that. If people are crying at the ceremony or grandma is falling asleep. And even if the wedding cake falls down, I am ready to take the photo. So I hope you get a deep understanding of my photographic philosophy. Real moments, real emotions, life in all its bright colors and facets. That's what I am, that's how I see the world.
Because a wedding story is a very personal time document, an insight into one's own past, into the here and now, and also in the common future.
I am located in Berlin/Hannover (Germany) and Valencia (Spain). But I photograph weddings all over the world. Travel fees can be really low if you book early enough.
I have been in business as a second shooter since 2010 and as a first shooter with my own business since 2013.
I would describe my style as candid wedding photojournalism with an artistic visual approach in storytelling. In my images, I always try to find a beautiful order in the chaos of coincidence or as Henri-Cartier Bresson called it the decisive moment of photography. And I also think Robert Capa was absolutely right when he said: „If your photographs aren't good enough, you're not close enough."
Usually, I photograph wedding stories from 8h up to a whole weekend.
I like to meet my wedding couples in a more private setting at home or in a nice little cafe. I also love to Skype/Facetime with you if you are from far away.
If you book me as a wedding photographer you got a lot of experience.
I have a 2 years education in a professional portrait photo studio in Berlin.
Later I was a photo assistant and second shooter for another 2 years.
Now I'm studying international photojournalism for 5 years.
I participate in different workshops and masterclasses every year.
I was chairman of the photo group Fotografie Berlin e.V. for 5 years.
I took part in 4 fearless conferences and annual photography is art meetings.
My journalistic work had been published and exhibited several times.
Education and experience are worth more than every award in the world!
As Oscar Wilde said: „Travel improves the mind wonderfully, and does away with all one’s prejudices.“
