Hi there! I'm Michelle and I live in the Algarve, Portugal with my husband, daughter, and fluffy rescue fur child (dog). We recently moved here from Arizona in the U.S.
In 2005, I started photographing weddings on the weekends with my friend who had a new photography business. I was an art teacher at a secondary school at the time and eventually left teaching to do photography exclusively.
After a few years of photographing weddings, I transitioned to photographing families in a documentary style, where I finally found my true passion. I love how documentary photography tells each family's unique and authentic story. Being a former teacher, I'm warm, friendly, and good at helping people feel comfortable. It's like having a friend over who has a camera. Sessions are stress-free and even reluctant partners end up enjoying them.
Maybe you have a family vacation coming up. Leave the photographs to me and be fully present with your family as you explore, have fun, and relax. I do vacation sessions in Portugal, or anywhere you're headed!
Your story deserves to be told and passed down for generations to come.
