We approach family photography in the same way we approach weddings, we listen, we observe and we document. We don't believe in studio photography, its not our thing, we'd rather spend a couple of hours with you in the park, on a walk or even at home. A plain white background is fine, it just doesn't feel like a natural environment to us so we'd rather spend some time with you being a family, being yourselves. As parents ourselves we understand kids, often during a family session parents worry their kids aren't behaving, or not smiling enough - don't worry - we can take time for snack stops, toilet breaks and tantrums, its a totally non-demanding no-pressure environment for everyone. We usually take a walk or visit somewhere special to you, and simply come along for a bit of a chat, stopping here and there for photos, giving a few suggestions and a bit of guidance, but mostly we step back and document you doing your thing. We do also work outside of Devon but this will usually be October-March due to the busy wedding season!
