As a father of two, I know only too well that from a young age we are all conditioned to 'smile and say cheese' to the camera - and there will always be a place for these photos. However, I believe great images should capture real personalities, expressions, emotions and humour. Captured only when our guard is down and we are being ourselves. 
 
A relaxed approach to photography gives families the freedom to relax; to have fun; to play together; to forget worries about whether the children will behave or smile for the camera, and to just be themselves.
