Like many veterans, when I left the military I struggled to find purpose again. Searching for a calling, I discovered wedding photography while studying photojournalism in college. I had found my passion! After 11 years of capturing hundreds of weddings I understand what it takes to document the essence of your big day. I go the extra mile to understand your unique needs and values, preserve the fleeting moments, and showcase your wedding with creative, emotional, and authentic photography.

When I'm not photographing awesome couples, you can find me on the golf course, exploring wine country, or sharing time with my wife in the Sacramento delta or in the Sierra mountains.

Hi, I'm JD and I'm a wedding photographer based out of Los Angeles, Ca. I like to think that I specialize in capturing all the in between and little moments that are often the best photos from any given wedding. Chris has had a great love for art since he was a young boy. At age of 15, he earned his first second-hand camera from his father. Since then, he was always "the photographer" among his friends and family. He finally turned this passion into his profession in 2007. Wedding is one of the events Chris loves to shoot. He believes it is one of the most beautiful and joyful event in life, and he understands how every moment, from engagement to the end of the wedding day, means to the couples and their families. Through his artistic eyes and un-obstructive approach, Chris documents these precious moments into elegant, story-telling photographic images that the couples can cherish. Chris is a destination wedding photographer based in the Bay Area, California.

Telling your story and capturing all the emotions and moments during a wedding is the best part of being a photographer. Creating compelling images through creative use of light and composition is the best part of being an artist.

My goal is always to give you unique images that push the art of photography, while not forgetting the tears, laughs, and quivering lips that make your special day uniquely you.

Based in Mammoth Lakes, California, but traveling the state and the world-my goals are twofold: creating rad outdoor art and capturing real moments with intriguing light and composition. We're going to climb to the top of a mountain and catch last light from 10,000 feet, hike to a deserted beach, crush the ceremony-ending kiss and document the crazy reception hijinks.

For me, primarily any wedding is about sincere and happy people, unique emotions, the beauty and the grace of a bride, a special day for the soul and memories for a lifetime!
Preserving all these is my primary goal!

I am a photographer based in the Lake Tahoe area. My passion for photography started in the mid 90's when I was living out of my car in Yosemite Valley. I'd moved there to rock climb full time and the camera became a tool to document my adventures high up on the rock faces. I took that camera all over the country for the next 6 years and photographed whenever I could scratch up enough money to buy film. I had no training I just photographed what I saw and tried to get images published in the climbing magazines--which was a tough gig.

Eventually I went to school and earned a BFA in photography and began to teach photography at the local university and community college. In 2006 I decided to formally start a photography business. In 2008 my wife Tara began photographing with me and it's been an amazing journey together as a husband-wife team. We love what we do and feel blessed to be able to tell the stories of people's lives with our cameras.
