This is a boy meets girl story. Menino Conhece Menina Photography is owned and operated by me and Raquel Pratas, a real life couple whose life's passion is to photograph love stories. We will be listening to your tale, ready to capture the sweetest moments throughout your wedding day. Our documental photography looks for the rawest of emotions - pure joy, ear to ear smiles, unbridled laughter, and happy tears.

In other words, at Menino Conhece Menina we capture images that can only be seen with the heart.

I was born in Madeira Island, in Portugal, where I presently live and do the most of my work but I love travelling and do weddings all over. I originaly graduated in psychology and i also had extensive training in landscape photography, which explains my focus on emotion, but also natural scenaries, which are the two pilares for my style of photography.

Sou marido, pai orgulhoso de duas meninas lindas e fotógrafo por paixão. Mais do que um contador de histórias, eu documento a vida tal como ela é, criando heranças visuais e recordações atemporais. O que gosto na fotografia é a capacidade de contar uma história usando as minhas próprias emoções.

Não sou uma pessoa de palavra escrita (provavelmente uma das razões que me levaram a ser fotógrafo), espero que o meu trabalho possa falar por si. Adoro como uma fotografia pode captar um momento, uma atmosfera, uma emoção, uma memória.

As minhas fotografias contarão a vossa história, e o vosso casamento é a folha em branco onde esta será contada. 
O meu objetivo é documentar naturalmente essa história de uma forma criativa,
não apenas os momentos principais, mas todos os momentos que, pelo meio, me permitam construir a narrativa

Pedro Bento has devoted over a decade to the passion of Photographic Art. It started with the Hobby of Nature Photography and quickly stood out in the national and international scene through websites and journals, exhibitions to the public and winner of several competitions.

In 2007 becomes a co-founder of a new project, FotoNature, dedicated to the achievement of Nature Photography Workshops. Is beginning a new journey of your life to enter the wonderful world of knowledge sharing. This project becomes a reference in Portugal and thus sees fueled the hope of one day becoming a full-time photographer while during the week carries on his professional activity on the financial area.

In summer 2010, days before the biggest ride of your life - being a father - is unemployed and becomes yet another number to swell the statistics of unemployed youth. Being out of work is not an option and with his entrepreneurial nature sees the "close window" as the opportunity to become Professional Photographer.

Determined to achieve his dream, decides to specialize in another area of photography and adventure is 100% and the soil in a new project - Photojournalism Weddings.
