I was born in Luanda, Africa, and i lived there till i was 10 years old, time when i moved to Portugal.

I've started my career working as a designer and web designer in a advertising company, but quickly i noticed that i was missing a very important part of my nature - to be connected to people and all the emotions related.

I then studied direction of photography and worked for awhile in TV, fiction, advertising, as well contributing as a freelancer photographer in different agencies.

Since then, i've been connected and inspired by different people, places and cultures, by a simple smile, a color or just with mother nature in its state of art.

I work professionally in the wedding industry for more than 12 years, on behalf of Laranja Metade [Half Orange] brand, as a parallelism to those looking for their soul mate (the half part). In the past years more as Destination Wedding Photographer.

I want to be true and honest when I document a wedding. To observe and write creatively all the feelings related to the key and unexpected moments, in a natural way.

I will be honoured to embrace this journey with you.

Where are you located? Do you charge a travel fee for weddings not in your location?

I'm based in Lisbon, Portugal, but i am available worldwide.
I don't ask any fees for weddings located till 50 kms from Lisbon; extra values may be considered depending the distance of the Wedding or in case i need accommodation.

How long have you been in business? How many weddings have you photographed as the main photographer?

I work as professional wedding photographer for more than ten years and i have photographed more then 200 weddings as main photographer.

Describe your "style" of wedding photography.

I work as a photojournalist. I like to discreetly observe and write creatively the key and unexpected moments that will evoke the true and strongest feelings about the couples day.

What's the typical wedding coverage package that you offer? What is the price?

Do you have a studio where we can meet in-person?

I have a studio where the team work as well a fifteen square meter for studio sessions - family and couple photoshoot.

What are your professional degrees, credentials, affiliations? Have you taken any recent educational workshops or classes?

Direction of photography then i have studied in IPF (Portuguese Photography Institute);
Many masterclasses with some of the best directors and photography directors like David Lynch and Christopher Doyle.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourself?

I'm a husband and father of 2 wonderful and crazy daughters that teach me to be a better person every new day.
I love to spend my time with family and earn their love and happiness, to shoot my vintage 35mm and Medium Format cameras, camp with my VW T2 Van and to ride my vintage BMW R100 Motorbike.

Absolutely fabulous service by Carlos and Joao! We had a two-day Ismaili wedding extravaganza at SANA metropolitan and Cerrado das Fontainhas and these guys were the highlight of it all.
