If that sounds like something you'd like to talk a bit more about, shoot me an email or give me a call. I would love to learn more about your big day, particularly if we can chat over a cup of coffee or glass of wine!
I'm located in Great Falls, Virginia, right outside of Washington, DC! I typically shoot weddings in the greater Washington, DC area (DC/MD/VA), but am available for travel anywhere. Fees are applied if travel is over 100 miles outside of DC.
15 YEARS! I have photographed hundreds and hundreds of weddings and still remember them all!
Bright, dynamic, artistic and full of life. It's my job to capture the personality of a wedding day, from my couple to their friends and family. I want my couples to look back on their photos and think, 'YES! That's exactly how it happened and it looks even BETTER in these photographs!'
I do not have a physical studio, but love meeting up in person over coffee/wine/etc.! I also use Skype/Facetime as well.
I have a BFA in Studio Art, majoring in photography, painting and drawing. I am also a co-leader of CAP (Capital Area Photographers), a network of 2,400+ DC-Area Photographers that meets quarterly to help educate and bring together the local photographer community.
-I am completely terrified of outer space. I don't know how I made it through the movie Gravity. I did, however, really like Interstellar, but that's only because I have a fascination with multiple dimensions and alternate universes.
-I love extreme weather. You'll even catch me posting weather updates sometimes on Facebook. I refer to myself as "your friendly meteographer" (meteorologist + photographer). I have no meteorological background whatsoever, I just really love storms/weather phenomena of any kind!
-I only have one joke memorized and I pull it out all the time at weddings. Most of the time my couples hear it, cringe, but then begin laughing hysterically, which is when I start photographing them like crazy. Works every time!
-I have two active hashtags on social media that a good chunk of people recognize. One is #lisaboggsing, which is used when I'm a complete disaster. An example of this is when I repeatedly mess up the coffee brewing process multiple times in a given morning. The other hashtag is #likeaboggs. This is used when I'm dominating life. An example of this is when I ran out of Hershey's almond kisses, but MacGyver'd the situation by combining some chocolate chips and roasted almonds I found in the pantry.
-I'm pretty sure I could consume only coffee, Thai food and wine for the rest of my life and be perfectly okay with that!
