Helmets, Water, Window Art

End of May 2020. The COVID-19 government-imposed restrictions were slowly lifting up. I needed a breath of fresh air, a change of scenery. I asked some friends what they had planned for the weekend. "Nothing extraordinary", they said. That sounded good enough for me! I joined them the next day, on my birthday, for what turned out to be the best present I could have offered myself that year. I was seeing some friends in person for the first time in two months, and their little girls put a huge smile on my face just by being themselves!

That's one of the many things I love about documentary family photography: kids being kids, real emotions, raw moments, no expectations. A true celebration of family life. A way for parents to show their kids they love them just as they are and value their time together.
