Fearless Awards
Fearless Awards are photographs that represent our community's best work as professional wedding photographers.

+ JUDGING
+ Judging of the Fearless Awards are usually done by a panel of expert judges. One Collection in each year is selected by the members of Fearless Photographers.
+ Judges are encouraged to select photos that stand out because they are excellent presentation of subject matter through the use of light, composition, and decisive moment. Judges can also select photos that are original in concept of if they are outstanding execution of a well-known theme.
+ PREPARING YOUR PHOTOS
+ Photos must have been taken by you and not by someone else.
+ Photos can be from any year.
+ Photos can have any filename.
+ Photos must be jpeg or png.
+ Photos must have one side that is 1200 pixels or longer.
+ Photos must have proportion that is close to 3:2 or 2:3 or 1:1
+ Keep the original raw files of your photos ready in case we need to verify them.
+ PHOTOS CAN ONLY BE FROM
+ the actual wedding day, the day before the wedding day, the day after the wedding day
+ vow renewal, civil union, or a religious or cultural ceremony that is considered a wedding
+ elopement in wedding clothes
+ photo session of the couple wearing wedding clothes or regular clothes
+ photo session of the bride or the groom wearing wedding clothes
- PHOTOS THAT WILL NOT BE AWARDED
- photos taken from any kind of class, workshop, seminar, convention, demonstration, etc.
- photos taken from any event that is not a wedding. Example: party, bar mitzvah, communion, baptism, quinceanera, etc
- photos taken from styled shoots or "inspiration weddings" that are not actual weddings
- photos taken from a commercial photo session that is not done for the couple. Example: a photo shoot of a couple done for the dress company
- photos of the photographer (self-portrait)
- photos of the photographer's immediate family members such as domestic partners, spouses, sons, daughters, parents, brothers, sisters, pets, or studio partners
- photos that show people in a boudoir-style pose while nude or semi-nude
- photos that show genital areas, sexual activity, vomiting, urination, defecation, violence or inappropriate activities
- photos that show the ring(s) placed on top of another image or photo
- photos that are deemed "very similar" to your own previous Fearless Award. "Very similar" photos are photos that look alike because they are from the same situation or use the same techniques.
- SIMILAR PHOTOS
- If a photo is found to be "very similar" to the same photographer's own previous Fearless Award, it will not be awarded. "Very similar" photos are photos that look alike because they are from the same situation or use the same techniques.
- if an Awarded photo from the most recent Collection is reported to be "very similar" to a previous Fearless Award by a different photographer, the new Award will be re-judged by the judges. The new Award may be removed if the judges decide that the previous Award is "unique and original" and the new Award is "very similar" to the previous Award. The report must be made within 7 days of the premiere of the Collection. Only the photographer of the previous Award may make the report.
- THESE DIGITAL MANIPULATION TECHNIQUES ARE NOT ALLOWED
- Do not do multiple exposure in camera or combine 2+ photos in digital manipulation.
- Do not add things that aren't already there. For example, do not add additional space, logos, text, borders, frames, textures, people, balloons, bubbles, birds, shadows, dinosaurs, smoke, clouds, veils, dress, reflection, or anything else.
- Do not add effects to your photo. For example, do not add blurring or movement.
- Do not move parts of your photos from one place to another place.
- Do not duplicate parts of your photos.
+ THESE DIGITAL MANIPULATION TECHNIQUES ARE ALLOWED
+ Cropping is allowed.
+ Adjustment of exposure, density, contrast, color, and saturation is allowed.
+ Cloning to remove things and replace with the background is allowed.
+ Burning (darkening) or dodging (lightening) is allowed.
+ FREE DEADLINE
+ After the free deadline, there will be a Late Fee of $10 per Entry Form
+ UPLOAD UP TO 12 PHOTOS TOTAL
If you want to make a change, delete the photo and upload the new photo.
+ AGREEMENT
By submitting photos, you understand and agree that Fearless Photographers may display the photos on Fearless Photographers' website and on Fearless Photographers's social media accounts. Fearless Photographers expressly disclaims all liability arising from the unauthorized reproduction, transmission, misappropriation, alteration, or other misuse of any iphoto hosted and displayed by Fearless Photographers by third parties. You shall save, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fearless Photographers and its officers, agents, or employees from all claims, suits, and actions of any nature resulting from or arising out of the activities of displaying your images.
